A case of anaphylaxis with mild abdominal pain due to gastroallergic anisakiasis

Anisakiasis is a fish-borne parasitic disease caused by the consumption of raw or undercooked fish or cephalopods contaminated by third-stage larvae of the Anisakis species. The presence of live Anisakis larvae can lead to parasitic infection of the digestive tract (gastric or intestinal anisakiasis) or, occasionally, other organs, and allergic reactions with or without digestive symptoms such as gastroallergic anisakiasis.1 Here, we report a case of anaphylactic shock with mild abdominal pain due to gastroallergic anisakiasis.
