A new in-depth study called ‘The influence of environmental and health indicators on premature mortality: An empirical analysis of the City of Toronto’s 140 neighborhoods’ assesses the impact of several environmental, health, socioeconomic and demographic characteristics on lifespan. Authors determined that premature mortality in Toronto neighborhoods was predicted by a combination of unhealthy environments and embedded socioeconomic imbalances.
