An Immunocompromised Woman with a Brain Lesion

A 54-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital for dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, and falls after elective tooth extraction. She had been on long-term mycophenolate mofetil and prednisone for pulmonary and cardiac sarcoidosis. Other medical history included type 2 diabetes mellitus and end stage renal disease requiring dialysis for the past 10 years after a failed renal transplant.
