Dr Alpert’s commentary in the March 2020 American Journal of Medicine asks the question, “Why are Women Underrepresented in Cardiology?”1 As he stated, only 25% of cardiology trainees are female. He reported that a group of academic cardiologists had met in 2019 to seek answers but was unable to reach a conclusion.
