Methodological Issues on the Study of the Significance of Longitudinal Clinical Congestion Pattern in Chronic Heart Failure

We read with great interest the article in an issue of The American Journal of Medicine by Simonaviius et al.1 The article concluded that severe congestion was accompanied by early death, and clinical decongestion treatment could result in improved outcome. Though this study sounds scientific, some critical methodological issues should be discussed.
