I read with great interest the article by Shapiro et al.1 It was reported that suicide is the leading cause of death among male residents and the second-leading cause among female residents. Their study can provide valuable lessons for China, which should be aware of severity of suicide and take action to avoid of more suicides in Chinese health care workers.
