As elucidated in the recent American Journal of Medicine manuscript “Physician Stress and Burnout,” it is well established that burnout among physicians and in graduate medical education is pervasive and negatively impacts personal well-being and patient outcomes.1 Numerous studies describe practices for identifying resident burnout and how to best facilitate recovery.2 However, there is little published in the burnout literature that addresses a fairly simple question: can money buy easy solutions? We share here a related experience.
