Physical Diagnosis of Cardiac Tamponade

I read the case report wrriten by Kanelidis et al in July 2018, that showed a case of cardiac tamponade by bacterial pericarditis.1 I have two educational points for making faster diagnosis of obstructive shock by cardiac tamponade: anthem sign and pulsus paradoxus. Among patients with pericardial effusion and shock state, positivity of these two findings should help physicians to make better and quicker decisions to proceed to urgent pericardiocentesis.
